Who is Noma’s Daughter?

Within the Power universe, which is home to some of television’s most despicable villains and morally ambiguous heroes, Noma stands out due to her immense power and influence. Tariq first encounters Noma at Mecca’s place, where Raqui assists Noma in asserting dominance over Tariq, Brayden, and Cane. Through clever persuasion, they avoid certain deaths and convince Noma to hire them instead of killing them. Caroline Chikezie, who plays Noma, shared her initial impression of the character during an interview with Digital Spy.

“When I read the script for the first time, it left me breathless and made me think, ‘Oh my god, what is happening?'” Chikezie recalls. Since she didn’t know Noma’s backstory when she received the script, she was puzzled about what had happened to her and what her history was. Noma’s grand entrance and other audience members who wanted more answers about her past and history intrigued her. Chikezie was ultimately fascinated by the character and wanted to know more about her.

Chikezie explored Noma’s mysterious backstory during the conversation. Noma was an orphan from Nigeria who was adopted and raised by criminals in London’s East End. While Noma’s presence in three episodes of Season 3 made an impact, it led some to speculate that she might become the main protagonist in another franchise instalment.

In Episode 5, Noma and Obi interrupt Tariq and Effie’s vacation in Italy and instruct them to retrieve a listening device that Mecca had placed at Francesco Lombardi’s residence. While at Lombardi’s house, Tariq and Effie discover a photo featuring Noma with Lombardi and her daughter, confirming their suspicion that Noma was responsible for Lombardi’s death. Anticipating Noma’s next move, they plan to use her daughter as leverage against her. Tariq finds himself vulnerable when Monet starts working directly for Noma.

Through Effie, he learns that Noma has a daughter of similar age who attends New York University. At Cane’s urging, Tariq attempts to deceive Noma by claiming to have people watching Anya Covington. However, Cane shoots him, only for Effie to intervene and admit that she has shared all the information with Noma in exchange for joining Noma’s organization. Effie reveals that Noma has relocated her daughter somewhere safe. Fortunately, Brayden arrives just in time to save Tariq from further danger.

These events shed light on Noma and her involvement in the Power universe, which is known for its complex yet captivating dynamics.
