The first official trailer for Beef, an upcoming dark comedy from A24 has been released on Netflix. In the teaser for A24’s Beef, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, tensions boil over into full-on violence. On April 6, you may start watching the series online.
In the series Beef, two random people, each experiencing an existential crisis, get into a road rage altercation and improbable hostilities ensue. The focus is on their reciprocal acts of vengeance against one another, which will hopefully lead each of them to question the direction of their life.
In the gloomy tv comedy, Amy (played by Wong) is a wife and mother who appears to have everything, while Danny (played by Yeun) is a struggling contractor with plummeting prospects, but both are sad. This is indicated by the satirical lyrics of The Smashing Pumpkins’ song “Today,” which plays over the trailer. After an argumentative interaction in a parking lot, the two decide to take their beef to the next level by using firearms, attempting arson, and defacing objects with their urine.
