Guy Ritchie directed, co-wrote and produced “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” in 2024. This exciting spy movie is loosely based on Damien Lewis’ book about some secret events during World War II – but please note: the movie doesn’t always follow these events!
Plot Synopsis
Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Britain during World War II, established a super-secret group known as the Special Activities Executive (SAE). Their sole purpose? Spying on Nazis and creating havoc for them – something no other spy missions had previously attempted before them! These missions ultimately played an instrumental role in helping win the war for Allies.
Where Was ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ Filmed?
Much of the filming occurred in Antalya, Turkey which is famous for its beautiful beaches. Additionally, filming took place across England (mainly London ) starting February 2023 until April.
The Actors’ Thoughts
The actors had a blast making this movie. Alan Ritchson, one of its stars, called it his best job ever and couldn’t stop praising Guy Ritchie, the director. Another actor Henry Cavill lauded teamwork among themselves and said they had an incredible crew working on it together. Everyone seemed to have had great fun working on this production!
Antalya: The Turkish Adventure
They arrived in Antalya, Turkey’s Antalya province, to film various scenes that played out across different locations such as Demre, Kemer, Konyaalti and Manavgat in Antalya province for various scenes filmed there. Plus they made time for some sightseeing of Alanya city where there is an attractive beach and popular nightclub scene in Alanya city – plus Guy Ritchie even treated all involved to delicious meals and enjoyable get-togethers during filming!
Saying Thanks
Following Filming After wrapping filming, actors took to social media in order to thank everyone involved with the production. Alex Pettyfer, one of the stars, thanked Director Guy Ritchie for giving him such an exciting job experience and thanked his co-stars as well for being part of such an enjoyable production. All seemed very grateful for having had this chance at participating in such an awesome project!
London Vibes
London made an appearance in the movie as well. Being England and UK capitals, they utilized some exterior scenes there. Henry Cavill loved working there – the crew were incredible and Guy Ritchie made sure everyone had fun while still getting the job done!
Overall, creating “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” appears to have been an amazing experience for everyone involved. The actors thoroughly enjoyed working together and getting to film in some unique locations – plus there’s tons of action, spies, and plenty of comedy in this exciting film!
